Truckin' Along

This post is going to be just about pregnancy. Apparently I'm at that point where all I do outside of work is think and plan baby stuff with a little home construction contemplation on the side (they are supposed to be pouring the foundation today!!)

Updates

How far along: 33 weeks

Maternity clothes: More maternity than not. I'm all about comfort these days.

Sleep: In training for being awake at all hours with a newborn. I think I might actually get more sleep once he's here...

Best moment this week: This was last Friday, but we had another ultrasound and were able to see part of our little one's face pretty clearly. Chris thinks he has my lips, I think he has Chris' nose.

Missing anything? Fruity alcohol. Blackberry, lime, and champagne have the loudest siren songs.

Movement: Tons! Smalls must be working out in there as most of the kicks and turns are very visible, and getting increasingly more uncomfortable.

Cravings: Starbucks iced caramel macchiatos and fruit. I'm currently in pursuit of making the perfect macchiato at home, but not entirely sure whether this is genius or just asking for trouble.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Ketchup and fish. I turned down a fresh-caught grilled salmon fillet on Easter - so not like me!

Gender: Boy, oh boy.

Labour signs: Braxton Hicks here and there, but nothing alarming.

Symptoms: I think "very pregnant" covers it. I've also discovered what heartburn feels like and that it can cause severe nausea, etc. So. Much. Fun.

Happy or moody: Relatively happy, but it definitely depends on how many insensitive comments I receive on a given day. (The current record is six, and mostly from middle aged men that know better.)

Looking forward to: Getting started on some serious prepping for our little one's arrival - so many things to take care of now that we're heading into the last month!

Funny moments: I've had a growing number of dumb-yet-funny moments, but I promptly forget them. Pregnancy brain giveth and then taketh away...
